FOOD SAFETY
|
In recent years, consumers have shown
a growing interest in knowing where there food comes from
and how it was produced.
At Bonita Europe, Food Safety has been a top agenda item
since its foundation in 1966 . Quality management, traceability,
residue monitoring, risk assessment and consumer relations
are the five pillars on which our Bonita product is based.
OUR 5 PILLARS
On the farm, field inspectors ensure that fruit is harvested
only when our quality standards are met. At the port of
embarkation inspectors conduct quality evaluations prior
to the loading of the vessel as well as at discharge in
the European ports. All reports from our inspectors are
communicated to the producers so this constant monitoring
ensures that the best selection of fruit is available
at all times.
Traceability ensures we monitor the Bonita product throughout
the supply chain.
Our traceability system is compliant with the General
food Law 178/2002.
At Bonita, residue monitoring is a constant process
to ensure that all Bonita products fulfil the requirements
of the MRL legislation (maximum residue level) required
by the European Union
Each sample is tested through an at random GCMS/LCMS/IM
screening, which are a accurate multi-residue tests
On a regular basis, risks are monitored in order to take
immediate preventive action when required. Our Company
Risk Assessment is further detailed in Crisis Management
Guidelines
At Bonita, we take pride of our close consumer relations
to assure we bring produce that meets the consumer's needs,
if a Bonita product does not fulfill our customer's requirements,
the Bonita Quality Team will immediately take appropriate
action to satisfy the customer's needs.
