BONITA ORGANIC PROMISE

For Bonita, life in all of its facets, natural resources and bio-diversity are precious gifts that need to be protected in order to safeguard our quality of life in harmony with the natural surroundings.  The Bonita Organic Program evolves this core principal by sourcing organic bananas that meet stringent international environmental and food safety protocols.

The European Union Organic Farming definitions reads “Organic farming respects the environment's own systems for controlling pests and disease in raising crops and livestock and avoids the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, growth hormones, antibiotics or gene manipulation. Instead, organic farmers use a range of techniques that help sustain ecosystems and reduce pollution. “
Bonita Good Agricultural Organic Practices place strong emphasis on beneficial microelements and natural bio-degradable fertilizers that improve soil fertility and synergize with the natural cyclical balance of nature.
